PASTOR PAUL R. HOBSON


Pastor was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 3, 1958. He was raised by his parents, along with two brothers, in a loving family-oriented environment in the Church Hill area of Richmond, which he so affectionately refers to as “the Hill.”Pastor Paul was “raised up” in 31 st Street Baptist Church where he accepted Jesus and was baptized at 12 years old.


Following graduation from Armstrong High School, Pastor Paul attended Morgan State University graduating in 1980 with a degree in Business Administration. After a brief career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of VA, Pastor Paul moved to the Washington, D.C. area in 1984, to begin a 25-year career with IBM with over half his career in management and leadership. Following his time with IBM, Pastor Paul was employed with Georgia Tech as a Corporate Relations Manager with the College of Management MBA program.


In March 2016, after hearing clearly from God, Pastor Paul completed his professional career with Georgia Tech and began focusing all of his time as Pastor of United In Christ.

Pastor Paul has been married to his lovely wife, Linda Hobson for thirty-four years. Pastor met his wife in 1979, while attending Morgan State University. Sister Linda was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, along with five sisters and one brother. Sister Linda is a retired professional Social Worker. Her passion is the care of and service to children and families. This is evident in her co-laboring with Pastor Paul in the ministry of Jesus Christ.





Answering the Call: A Legacy of Faith

Pastor Paul and Sister Linda are abundantly blessed with three children, Jamel, Deairra and Nathan. They are also joyful grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren:

Layla, Bella-Marie, Grace and Jamel Jr., all residing in the Atlanta metro area and serving at United In Christ.

Pastor Paul answered his clergy call in 1996 and was trained and studied at Spread the Word Church in College Park, GA. There, he was licensed and ordained. United in Christ Community Church was planted in January 2008.
